Portraits
Paul Cezanne once said that we have to get away from the idea that a portrait has to look like the subject. Okay. |
Landscapes
When I first started painting, all I did were landscapes. For several years now I have not done very many - not because I no longer enjoy them, but just because I am finding portraits so much more fun. Sometimes I try to incorporate some landscape into a portrait. |
Still Life & other subjects
If a painting does not neatly fit in the other two categories I put them here. The subject of my paintings is the entire canvas, not just the central object. Sometimes the central object in my paintings is just an excuse to paint the rest of the picture. |

"A room without an original painting on the wall is just not as nice as it could be." I said that.
